The Legend of the Koi
Legend tells, that long ago, a group of koi fish made their way UPSTREAM to the Yellow River hoping to reach the “Dragon’s Gate” at the end. The fishes grew strong as they swim against the current.
The school of koi fish battled the current until reaching a waterfall at the river’s end. Most of the koi turned around but the bravest continued.
As the koi attempted to leap to the top of the waterfall, the surging waters grew large and became a more challenging obstacle. Slowly the fishes began to give up, one after the other.
After hundreds of years, only one koi fish persevered. When it reached the “Dragon’s Gate”, the gods rewarded its efforts by transforming the koi fish into a golden dragon.
